Girl-A-Thong III Succeeds On All Fronts

The live online event surpasses its two predecessors on both revenue and technology fronts.

(Cyberspace) April 5, 2006 - Live video chat site LiveCamNetwork.com reported that its recent Girl-A-Thong online event "more than doubled" the previous two efforts.

"The success was technological as well as economic," said site founder Mark Prince, who also heads software company 2much.net.

The Girl-A-Thong is a "free" three to four hour live chat hostess party featuring up to 2 dozen of the site's "LCN Girls", playing interactive drinking games for fun and prizes with viewers over double-display video streams.

"We had five cameras covering the action, playing out over two simultaneous video streams," said Prince. "At our peak we had over 900 viewers in the same chat room - that's 1800 streams."

There were no reported problems with viewers or from the progammers' end.

The site recently had to beef up their back-end to feature their new live high definition platform, accord to 2much.net's Network Suprervisor, "Hidden Dragon". The pleasant residual effect of this process was that potential bugs in the dual-stream display were ironed out ahead of time.

Prince is proudest for his affiliates, however. "They should be happy with the event, since sales went through the roof. In about three hours or so we beat our sales for the first two girlathongs combined. Even though this one lasted an hour less than the others. That's nuts."

Although the free event was originally organized to thank regular longstanding clients for their loyalty, users could still make purchases during the event by buying rounds of drinks for the cam girls.

Though final numbers aren't available, the first Girl-a-thong reported a $1200 net profit in four hours, while this latest edition garnered over $5000 USD.

"And that's another reason to celebrate the Girl-a-Thong," said Prince. "It's like a new opportunity to make money, a new revenue model..."

Site organizers are promising another event in the near future, as well as other applications of their dual and live high definition platforms.
